PressReader: Access tips

PressReader

The Council Library provides access to PressReader to all Council staff.

You can access and read publications as a guest reader without an account if you are connected to the GSC network. Creating an account offers expanded services:

  • Radiant access: every time you log in with your PressReader account on the GSC network or WiFi you will automatically have access to PressReader for 3 days from all devices on which you log in with that account (also outside the GSC network).
  • Personalize your home feed with news from specific locations, sections of your favourite publications or topics.
  • Chose your favourite titles and set up automatic download of each new issue.
  • Save and organize articles into Collections, so they will always be accessible to you even when the publication is no longer available.
  • Download full-issues for offline reading.

Please note that PressReader does not support Internet Explorer.

Your account

To get the most out of PressReader set up your personal account.

Go to https://www.pressreader.com . Make sure that you are connected through the GSC network (a message indicates that the Council provides the access).

Download the app for your device, you can have it on several devices at the same time.

Access with the same account you have used in the GSC network.

Access every 3 days from a device connected to the Council to renew the radiant access.

Users are advised to read the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions before creating the account.

Tips:

The Library guides contain a selection of relevant resources from the online Eureka catalogue of the Council Libraries. They also contain titles beyond our collections, including open-access publications and websites. The Library guides do not necessarily represent the positions, policies or opinions of the Council of the European Union or the European Council.
