World Book Day 2023

Every April 23, publishers, booksellers and libraries – the backbone of the book industry - join together with book lovers from across the globe to celebrate World Book Day.

Every year the Council Library marks World Book Day with something special. For 2023, Council trainees chose to focus our attention around a theme relevant in all aspects of life - courage.

Courage comes in many guises and European literature is filled with examples of courageous acts. Whether grand gestures or small. The trainees selected a list of books relating to the theme of courage from each of the 27 EU Member States.
