Eureka - Library Catalogue: How to?

I don't find what I need

If you are searching for an article or book that the library does not have in our collection, nor has a subscription to, you can ask for it. The Library will endeavour to find the best solution for each case, either by borrowing from other libraries (interlibrary loan) or by acquiring it.

In the "Request a title" tab at the top of Eureka, select the type of document (book, article or journal) and fill in as much information as possible. The ISBN, ISSN and DOI are identifiers that allow the material to be uniquely recognised; include them whenever possible.

* Once sent, check the progress of your request: My Library Card > Requests tab

Save favourites

The pin icon allows you to save your favourite resources.

Only if you are logged in will these favourites be stored in your account (My Favorites) and you can retrieve them at any time.

Setting alerts

Every week you get the latest additions to Eureka on your subject by email.

When logged in, simply draft the search, save it and set up an alert from your "saved searches".

Request a book

You have found an interesting book and you want to borrow it? Log in, access the record and use the " Request " button. You can choose to pick it up at the library or have it sent to your office.

Renew a loan

Once logged, visit My library card (click in your ID on the right top corner)  and

  • see your loans (current and past)
  • see your active requests
  • renew your loans
If, after login, you don't see your loans or/and you cannot request a title, please contact the Library

The Library guides contain a selection of relevant resources from the online Eureka catalogue of the Council Libraries. They also contain titles beyond our collections, including open-access publications and websites. The Library guides do not necessarily represent the positions, policies or opinions of the Council of the European Union or the European Council.
